We encounter blue UV radiation on a daily basis from our phones, tablets, computers, and any other electronic screen. This radiation can be extremely damaging to our eyes, increasing our risks for age related macular degeneration and other retinal issues. We also will experience an increase of eye fatigue and strain when looking at a monitor throughout the day. Blue light also inhibits the production of melatonin, causing problems with our sleep wake cycle.

Blugard Lenses

Blugard is a property embedded in the lens material. Blugard has a slightly yellow tint, that allows for the maximum amount of blue light to be blocked. Blugard is recommended for patients who spend exorbitant amounts of time in front of the computer (8+ hours a day).
