Dr. James and Susan Wood

​Dr. Susan is a 1987 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry.  As part of her training, she completed internships at the Feinbloom Center in Philadelphia, PA and OMNI Eye Services in Fairfax, VA with emphasis on low vision and ocular disease, respectfully. A member of the Georgia Optometric Association and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons,

Dr. Susan is an affiliate member of the Emory Vision Correction Center and TLC (The Laser Center). With her warm and caring chairside manner, Dr. Susan has established a large and loyal following, particularly with the "difficult to fit" contact lens patients.
Dr. Jim graduated in 1985 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where he also earned a M.S. in Physiological Optics.

He completed an internship in vision training from SUNY, State College of Optometry in New York and a residency in Primary Care Optometry at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. He is a past president of the Atlanta district of the Georgia Optometric Association and was named "Georgia's Young Optometrist of the Year" in 1991-92. An enthusiastic proponent of LASIK eye surgery, Dr. Jim has had the procedure himself.

To keep up with the latest developments in eyecare, Dr Jim attends numerous lectures and webinars and is a member of: The American Optometric Society, The Georgia Optometric Association, The Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, The College of Optometrists in Vision Development, The Ocular Nutrition Society, and the Ocular Surface Society.

Dr. Kathy Lee

​Dr. Lee graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon to complete her degree as a Doctor of Optometry.
 
Born and raised in South Carolina, she returned to the South to complete a residency in Primary Care with emphasis in Ocular Disease at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, Georgia. It was there that she learned from some of the best cataract, glaucoma, and retinal ophthalmologists. She established one of the first Dry Eye Clinics while working at this practice.
 
Besides providing cataract and LASIK surgical co-management care, Dr. Lee manages and cares for multiple ocular conditions such as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, ocular injuries, and systemic diseases that can affect the eyes (such as diabetes and hypertension). She is a highly trained optometrist who strives to integrate stellar ocular care with good overall medical health.
 
She is an active member of the Georgia Optometric Association, the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She enjoys traveling, socializing, experiencing culinary delights and spending time with her husband and 3 children.


Dr. Lay Nim

A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Dr. Lay Nim completed her undergraduate studies at the Georgia State University and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry. She then attended Southern College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree. She was the vice president of the Georgia Optometric Student Association and she participated in 3 international missions with Fellowship of Christian Optometrists (FCO), providing eye care to underserved areas in Haiti, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. She completed her clinical studies at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, Georgia, The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry, and with Dorfzaun Eye Group in Marietta, GA.

Dr. Nim enjoys performing comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages including children as young as 4 year old. She is board licensed in the treatment and management of ocular disease, vision disorders, and soft as well as specialty contact lens fittings. Dr. Nim provides care for ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, and systemic diseases that affect the eyes (diabetes and hypertension).

Dr. Nim is a member of the Georgia Optometric Association and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, volunteering and being outdoors.
